Dr. Edward L. Fung

Dr. Fung was born in Pottsville, PA. After a few years living abroad, his family returned to the United States and settled in Harlan, IA, in 1971. Growing up in a farming community close to Omaha afforded him the luxury of small town living with the amenities of a larger community. He enjoyed cycling and went on RAGBRAI twice while in high school. Edward graduated in 1984 from Harlan Community High School.

After high school, he attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1988. While at Creighton he was an member of Creighton Crew. Wanting to pursue the academic and research field, Dr. Fung became a research assistant in the Department of Urology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Edward returned to Creighton University to pursue his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Classical Literature and met his future wife. When not studying the classics, he spent his time working out and bartending. After getting a lecture from his mother, he ended his pursuit of the BFA and enrolled at University of Iowa College of Law. While a student at the college, he was a member of the Iowa Law Review and president of the Asian American Law Students Association. His Juris Doctorate was conferred in 1993.

Deciding that the practice of law was not his forte, Dr. Fung entered University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. He currently lives in Urbandale with his wife of 16 years and three kids.

Dr. Fung is a member of the American Dental Associate, Iowa Dental Association and the Des Moines District Dental Society. He is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Department of Operative Dentistry. He is licensed in Iowa and Nebraska.

Dr. Jessica Stark

Dr. Jessica Stark grew up on a farm just outside of Osceola, Iowa. Dr. Stark absolutely loves practicing dentistry. She especially enjoys the artistry of creating dentistry that looks natural and lasts. It is her mission to make dental appointments fun for children and comfortable for anxious patients.

Dr. Stark lives in the country just outside of Saint Charles with her husband, Kyle, and their two little boys, Winston and Leland. She enjoys riding horses, acting, cooking, and is an active member of her church family.
